is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by

International Organization for Migration (IOM) Nepal is implementing “Capacity Building of Nepal’s National Security Forces (Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force) in Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM)” project funded of USAID/OFDA. The project aims to contribute to the Government of Nepal’s efforts in disaster preparedness through increasing capacity of first responders (National Security Forces) to effectively manage
displaced populations in line with international standards and best practices.

To increase CCCM response capacity, IOM Nepal will tailor the training package referring to the global as well as national CCCM training package specifically towards improving the capacity of the National Security Forces in their role in Search and Rescue operations and as first providers in emergency response. The training curriculum will also take into account an extended period of engagement of the National Security Forces i.e. beyond 72 hours and their specific roles and coordination functions with other government line agencies, in particular, handover to civilian authorities. The training material will also include a practical one-day camp set-up to provide participants with the opportunity to apply humanitarian
principles and international standards in a safe earning environment. Based on the training materials developed, the project will provide Training of Trainers (ToT) to the officials from National Security Forces to roll out CCCM training in their respective regional offices.
